Gun violence in Surrey and Abbotsford Friday left a gangster dead, his brother wounded and another man in hospital with gunshot wounds.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said on twitter Saturday that it won’t release any more information until Monday, but the Real Scoop has learned that a gangster linked to recent Surrey violence was killed in the Friday shooting and his brother was wounded.
The Surrey shooting came just hours after Abbotsford Police received a report of shots fired in the area of Townshipline and Bradner Roads.
Const. Ian MacDonald said in a released that “the caller indicated that it appeared that at least one vehicle was involved in the gunfire.”
“As APD officers were responding to the scene, a male with an apparent gunshot wound entered the emergency department of an area hospital,” he said. “The male victim, an Abbotsford resident in his 30s, is receiving treatment in hospital. The investigation into this incident is continuing.”
